Las Vegas, which has millions of lights, is regarded as the brightest place on Earth.

Casinos and top-notch entertainment are two of Las Vegas’s most well-known attractions, but there are many more.

You may ride the High Roller, the largest observation wheel in the world, experience a Venetian gondola ride, or view the Bellagio Fountains, which are a Las Vegas landmark.

Aside from the Strip, Las Vegas is home to a number of highly regarded museums that explore subjects that are intimately related to the city, such as atomic testing, neon signs, and the mob.

The Mojave Desert is located outside of the city and is home to numerous hiking and bike routes, picturesque drives, and panoramic desert vistas.

After Nevada legalized gambling in 1931, Las Vegas established a reputation as one of the most exciting locations in the world to place a wager.

Due to its location in the Mojave Desert, Las Vegas regularly experiences summertime highs above 100 degrees.

One of the longest stereotypes about Las Vegas is that although it’s hot, it’s a dry heat that’s reportedly more tolerable than humidity.

But when the rest of the nation is shovelling snow in the winter, Las Vegas is the ideal temperature for nearly any outdoor activity.

What to wear for your daytime activities?

Day time temperatures may still be at high levels in January, hence many people can be seen donning short sleeved shirts or dresses with light cardigans.

For day time activities, it is best to carry layers that you put on or take off easily.

Temperatures some days can be in the 60s, so depending on where you come from, you may not need much insulation.

When it’s warm outside during the day, a tank top or short sleeved shirt works wonderfully.

The warmer daytime temperatures are also best avoided by wearing loose capri trousers, shorts, or skirts, which go well with a variety of tops.

You can add or remove items from the following list of daytime outfits depending on your activities:

  • Tops with short and long sleeves
  • Tank tops
  • Pants or jeans
  • Skirts
  • Comfortable shoes for walking
  • Shoes and boots
  • Cardigans and light sweaters as layers.
  • A sun hat

Always pack and carry multiple layers. A hoodie, sweatshirt, or sweater are excellent choices for both day and night times.

If you plan on going to heated pool parties, definitely pack your swimwear.

As well as that, pack comfy hiking boots in case you decide to venture out on any trails.

And definitely do not forget your sunscreen.

Keep in mind that the Strip is lengthy, features numerous attractions, and has plenty of escalators and stairs at each of its numerous venues.

Keep your feet within boots or shoes if you plan to do a lot of moving, as advised by common sense. Also, a smart choice is relaxed fit jeans.

What to wear for your nighttime activities?

While still a desert, January in Vegas does bring chillier temperatures.

For your night time activities, make sure to pack a cozy coat or jacket to protect you from the cold.

Unless you come from much colder areas, it is better to bring boots and a couple of winter jackets to help you keep warm at night.

Here’s a list of night time essentials:

  • A slightly heavier winter coat
  • Formal attire (such as slacks, button downs, dresses etc.) for shows and fancy dinners
  • Bar/Club appropriate attire (short dresses, jeans, button downs, blazers etc.)
  • Formal shoes such as heels or dress shoes

There is a multitude of nighttime activities in Vegas apart from the casinos.

Make sure to bring enough formal attire as nights in Vegas are definitely classy.

Choose a jacket that will keep you warm while allowing you to move around easily inside warm clubs and casinos.

Just keep in mind that since there are no coat checks in Vegas, your coat will be with you the entire night.

Avoid these things at all costs:

  • Sneakers
  • Flip-flops
  • Sandals
  • Athletic wear
  • Shorts
  • Worn-out or stained clothing

It is crucial to be aware that temperatures can fluctuate by double digits in Vegas during the winter. That occurs frequently in most desert locations.

Vegas transforms into the City of Lights after sundown when fashion is increasingly prominent and on exhibit almost everywhere.

So be sure to bring your best fashion game, especially at night.
