When it comes to practical fashion, nothing is better than lightweight, cozy, and incredibly soft clothing that doesn’t let you compromise on your style.

One fairly new brand offering such sort of clothing is Soft Serve.

Soft Serve clothing is typically made from lightweight fabrics to ensure softness. The cuts are loose and relaxed, and the silhouettes are often easy and breezy.

What sets Soft Serve apart from other brands is its unique construction. Rather than being stitched together like traditional garments, Soft Serve clothing is usually knitted or crocheted from a single piece of fabric.

This gives the clothes a relaxed, drapey look for enhanced comfort.

The brand was created as a line of clothing that is both trendy and snug. It offers a range of items, including hoodies, tops, bottoms, and t-shirts, all of which are extremely soft.

Lately, Soft Serve clothing has been making waves for its cloud cotton hoodies, with the brand claiming them to be the softest hoodies ever made.

With such overwhelming hype that’s been created about the brand, it’s natural to wonder if it’s actually legit and worth your money.

Let’s find out together.

Is Soft Serve clothing ethical?

Unfortunately, the fashion industry has a long history of exploitation, with many brands relying on cheap labor to produce their garments.

This is especially true for fast fashion brands that churn out new styles at lightning speed in order to keep up with the latest trends.

Most of the brands producing this sort of ultra-soft clothing use harsh chemicals to treat the fibers of the fabric to turn them softer.

While this practice brings an incredible amount of comfort to the piece of clothing, it puts both environment and the workers’ lives in danger.

To find out if Soft Serve is involved in any such activity or not, I conducted extensive research on the brand.

Soft Serve claims that it only uses natural and recyclable materials in its products. In addition, it also emphasizes following only sustainable production procedures and fair trade policies.

However, I am not entirely convinced of these claims, considering a multitude of negative reviews about the brand and the fact that most of its raw material is native to other countries.

Also, there is no evidence-based information provided by the brand regarding its ethical practices, which further fuels my suspicions.

When I checked the brand’s authenticity on various scam-detecting websites, I found that Soft Serve has a mixed score.

The good side of the brand’s website is that it includes payment methods that offer money-back services. It also provides an online buying option and is SSL certified. The website is also termed safe by DNSFilter and is further endorsed by Trend Micro.

On the other hand, the brand has not provided any information regarding the business owner’s identity, which makes me a little dubious about it.

Secondly, the website uses an internal review system, which is also a red flag. The products offered by the company are also seen on various scam sites. Plus, it has mixed consumer reviews.

Considering all of these points, if you are a person who keeps the ethics of a brand as a deciding factor for its worth, I wouldn’t call it an entirely safe option.

Is Soft Serve clothing made in the USA?

Most brands in this domain subcontract their production to overseas countries like China and India, then get those products shipped to the United States for assembly.

While Soft Serve clothing claims to be made in the USA, it fails to mention the whole production procedure or where its manufacturing units are located.

So, it is highly unlikely that the brand carries out all of its production in the USA because if it did, it would have provided its factory address on the website.

How long does Soft Serve clothing take to deliver?

The brand usually takes 24-48 hours to deliver your order to your doorstep. But, it can also take 3+ days in some instances.

However, you need to keep in mind that these are just estimates, and actual delivery times may vary depending on your location and other factors.

If you need your clothes delivered on an urgent basis, you can go for their expedited shipping option.

The company also has an exchange and refund policy of 30 days. This means that if you are not happy with your purchase, you can get your clothes returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase.

What is cloud cotton made of?

Cloud cotton is a type of cotton that is often used in Soft Serve clothing. The fibers are shorter and softer than traditional cotton, making them more comfortable to wear.

The cotton is sourced from the seeds of the Gossypium arboreum plant. The seeds are first picked by hand, then the fluffy fibers are extracted and spun into yarn.

Cloud cotton has several benefits. Not only is it soft, but it’s also durable and hypoallergenic. Cloud cotton is also more absorbent than regular cotton, making it ideal for clothing that will be in contact with your skin.

In addition, cloud cotton is less likely to pill or shrink, making it a durable choice for clothing. While it may be more expensive than regular cotton, cloud cotton is ideal for comfortable clothing.

The key to its comfort is its unique ability to trap air, which gives it a soft and fluffy texture. Cloud cotton’s shorter and finer fibers allow the fabric to trap more air.

The Final Word

Soft Serve offers comfortable unisex clothing that easily fits everyone’s budget. With a wide assortment of apparel, the brand offers a high level of comfort with aesthetics that are on point.

However, it fails to deliver critical information to its consumers in numerous aspects, making it hard for them to decide if they should go for it.

Many people have tried their clothing and can vouch for the quality and coziness that come with their products. But, if you are a person who can’t compromise on ethics, I’d suggest you look for alternative options.
